Passport Address Change online
If your address has changed as a result of a relocation, it is critical that you replace or update your passport address. For the address to be altered, the passport must be reissued. To do so, you’ll need to fill out a passport reissue application with your current address information. Here’s all you need to know about applying for a reissue of your passport to alter your address.

Who can Apply?
An applicant may choose to amend part of the information in the MRP due to personal circumstances. However, such information cannot be manually changed in MRP; instead, a new MRP must be created. Changes in names, permanent addresses, professions, dates of birth, and marital status need the submission of supporting papers.

How to Apply?
- Step 1: MRP Application Data Correction:
- MRP Application Form manually completed (please click here to find the form).
- There is no need to complete the MRP Application Form online.
Step 2: Make an online appointment:
- No application will be accepted without a prior appointment.
- Please click here to schedule an MRP appointment, and disregard any auto-generated appointments that appear on your application form.
- Also, print the required appointment schedule at the Embassy and Permanent Mission counter.
- Step 3: MRP-related document submission:
- On the appointed date and time stated in the online appointment, the applicant should appear to the Embassy and Permanent Mission in person with all relevant documents.
- The appropriate documentation must be submitted and the fee paid at the counter.
- If there are any abnormalities in the supporting documents, an interview may be necessary prior to enrollment. At any point during the process your need, the Passport, and Visa Department maintain the right to request any extra papers for essential investigation.
- Step 4: Biometric Registration:
The applicant should keep in mind that biometric processing time can vary depending on a variety of circumstances. In most cases, the biometric procedure will take 1-2 hours to complete. - At the bio-enrolment booth, the applicant’s finger prints, signature on an electronic pad, and photograph will be taken.
You will be given a proof copy of your passport details upon your enrolment. Please double-check the accuracy of the information because it will appear in your passport. Any such errors are not the - responsibility of the Embassy or Permanent Mission.
The applicant’s original passport will be confirmed here and returned with a delivery slip. - MRP will not be supplied if the applicant does not save the delivery slip carefully. A police report is required to collect the MRP if it is misplaced.
- Step 5: MRP processing time and passport delivery:
- Processing time for MRP
- In most cases, an MRP is available for delivery 40-45 days after enrollment. However, due to police verification and the applicant’s inaccuracy of the information submitted, it may take longer than planned.
- On the delivery slip, an automatically produced delivery date displays. Please disregard this delivery date.
How to Collect:
- A text message will be provided to the applicant to acquire the passport once it has been received by this Embassy and Permanent Mission from the DIP/Dhaka.
- The applicant should appear to the Embassy and Permanent Mission in person between 2:30 pm and 4:00 pm on any working day after getting the text (Monday-Friday)
- Applicants should bring their old passports, delivery slips, and any other documentation that the enrolling authority requests. MRP will be returned along with the old passport (with necessary observation seal).
- If the applicant does not attend or sends someone to acquire the passport in his or her name, the applicant must send written authorization. No passport will be delivered without valid authorization and signature.
Documents Required

- An image of the previous MRP (For new application)
- The applicant must be physically present in the Embassy and Permanent Mission. An interview in the Embassy and Permanent Mission is required of the applicant.
- Complete modifications to the applicant’s antecedent (i.e. applicant’s name, father, or mother) will not be accepted.
- Only old MRP photocopies must be supplied to the reissue form in the case of reprint. It is not necessary to attach the applicant’s photograph in this circumstance.
- Data correction requires a document.

The following are the actions to take for MRP:

How can I apply for a passport re-issue?
To apply for MRP re-issue, you must first complete the following steps:

- There is no set time limit for re-issuing an MRP before it expires. It is recommended that you apply a few months before the deadline.
