Requirements for an EPP for a child (under the age of six):
Any youngster (under the age of six) whose father or mother has a valid Bangladesh passport is eligible./ Machine Readable Passport (MRP)/EPP can apply for a new EPP at the Bangladesh Embassy in Berlin (Electronic Passport). To apply for EPP, the child would need a Bangladeshi digital birth certificate (with a 17-digit number). To begin the EPP application procedure for a kid, the following items must be sent to the Embassy by registered mail:
- Epp application form completed (with bar code) a printed version (please check www.epassport.gov.bd)
- 02 (two) copies of a child’s recent 3R-size photograph (studio printed)
1 snapshot of the child’s parents (father and mother)
- 01 (one) set of photocopies of a valid MRP/EPP (1-2 page) copy of the child’s father or mother
- a photocopy of the digital birth certificate of the child (including 17 digit number with a copy of online verification)

Self-addressed envelope with stamp (Please write your name and address to receive a delivery slip/enrolment DEU ID for your child’s EPP application).
Important Reminder:
To complete the kid EPP process, please send all documents (serial numbers 1–7) to the Embassy through registered mail. Child EPP candidates (under the age of 6) do not require an online appointment to come to the Embassy for biometric data (fingerprint, digital photo, digital signature, etc). Your photograph will be scanned and used at the EPP. The Embassy will finish your child’s EPP application and mail you a delivery slip and enrolment ID documents in the envelope you provided
Only electronic passport (EPP) applications are processed at the Bangladesh Embassy in Berlin, however, the printed EPP is sent from Dhaka. After a successful application enrolment, it normally takes 8-10 weeks (occasionally longer) to receive an EPP.
Please note that no handwritten EPP Application Forms will be accepted, and the Embassy will not offer the applicant with ‘express’ service
