Latest Circular for Passport Correction – 3 November 2022

Passport Correction Circular – Effective as of April 28, 2021

Following correction of passport information both domestically and overseas, the following actions must be followed:
1) To update the passport with the right name (own, father, and mother) and age-
- Adults should take into consideration the National Identity Card, JSC, JDC, SSC, HSC, Dakhil, Technical, Open University, and Equivalent certificates.
- If you don’t have a birth certificate, you should think about getting one.
- For minors, a birth certificate should be taken into account.
- Information from Special Branch and other intelligence agencies can be validated, if necessary.
- In the event that the applicant’s age changes, a maximum gap of 5 (five) years may be taken into consideration.
2) There is no room to evaluate a request to amend the information provided by government employees when they apply for employment. However, after confirming their credentials, government employees who had passports previous to work can have their information corrected.

5) If there isn’t an MRP revision, police verification is not necessary at the time of re-issuance.
7) The applicant must submit a written application and an affidavit of change of information. A statement that the applicant will be held liable for any ensuing legal issues is required.
8) The relevant authorities have given their approval for the release of this circular. Everyone involved is urged to adhere to the pertinent instructions.
