A Bangladesh passport is a travel document provided by the Bangladeshi government only to Bangladeshi nationals for foreign travel. It must be in the bearer’s or a person lawfully authorized by the bearer’s custody. The fact and circumstances of the loss or destruction must be immediately notified to the nearest Bangladesh Mission and local police authorities.

The issuance of a passport might be denied if facts are omitted or erroneous information is submitted. Any intentional damage to a passport, as well as unauthorized changes or repairs, will render it invalid.

Before applying for a passport, you should be aware of the following information.
Only applicants with prior appointments are permitted to submit visa applications. In the event that the applicant is unable to submit his or her application in person, an authorized nominee with a permission letter might do so in the applicant’s place. If the applicant is physically disabled and unable to visit the Embassy or Permanent Mission, the NHS/Hospital shall issue a letter stating the applicant’s impairment. Photo scanning also requires an additional photo (not stapled or pasted).
