Bangladesh Electronic Passport for Child (below 6 years) (2)

Requirements for ePP of a child (below 6 years of age):

Any child (under the age of six) whose father or mother holds a current machine-readable passport (MRP) or electronic passport may also apply to the Bangladesh Embassy in Berlin for a new ePP (Electronic Passport). To apply for ePP, the child needs a digital birth certificate from Bangladesh with a 17-digit number. To begin a child’s ePP application procedure, the following documents must be sent to the Embassy by registered mail:

Please print a copy of the filled-in ePP application form with the bar code. You can find the form on www.epassport.gov.bd.

Please provide two recent 4R (10cm X 15cm) size photographs of the child. These photographs should be studio printed, have a straight face and focus, and a light background.

Please provide a photocopy of a photograph that includes both parents (father and mother) of the child.

Please provide one photocopy of either the father or mother’s existing valid MRP (Machine Readable Passport) or ePP (electronic Passport), consisting of 1-2 pages.

Please provide a photocopy of the child’s Digital Birth Certificate, which should include the 17-digit number along with a copy of the online verification.

Please find attached proof of payment for ePP to the Embassy Bank Account. The payment was made via bank transfer for an amount of Euro 125,-. The Embassy Bank Account details are as follows:
Embassy of Bangladesh
Deutsche Bank
Account No: 233 27 73
IBAN: DE 80 1007 0000 0233 2773 00
BIC (Swift code): DEUTDEBBXXX.

Please provide your name and address so that we can send you a delivery slip/enrollment DEU ID for your child’s ePP application. Please include a self-addressed envelope with a stamp.

Important Note: Please send all documents (serial number: 1-7 as mentioned above) to the Embassy via registered mail to finalize the child ePP process. For child applicants below 6 years of age, there is no need to make an online appointment to visit the Embassy for biometric data (fingerprints, digital photo, digital signature, etc.). The photo you provided will be scanned and used for the ePP. The Embassy will handle the child ePP application and send the delivery slip/enrollment ID documents to the address you provided in the envelope you provided.

The Bangladesh Embassy in Berlin solely handles the processing of Electronic Passport (ePP) applications. However, the printed ePP is issued from Dhaka. As a result, it typically takes around 8-10 weeks (sometimes even longer) to receive the ePP after the successful enrollment of the application.

Please be aware that the Embassy will not accept hand-written Application Forms for ePP (electronic Visa) and will not offer an ‘express’ service to applicants.
