To get an e-passport you have to follow 5 steps. These are so simple steps that you do not need to go to any broker. You can do it from your home by yourself.
Step 1: Check if the new e-Passport is already available in your area
There are more than 52 e-passport offices are ready to issue e-passport in Bangladesh. You just have to check that the office is available in your area or not. Go to this link to find it out.
Step 2: Fill in your e-Passport application online
To apply online you have to got to e-passport official website. https://www.epassport.gov.bd. Fill in the form properly.
Step 3: Pay passport fees
You can make the payment either by Online or Bank.
Online Payment
You can use your credit or debit card to pay the fees.
Bank Payment
The e-passport fee can be paid at one of the following banks in Bangladesh: ONE Bank, Premier Bank, Sonali Bank, Trust Bank, Bank Asia, Dhaka Bank.

e-Passport with 48 pages and 5 years validity
- Regular delivery within 15 Working days / 21 days: TK 4,025
- Express delivery within 7 Working days / 10 days: TK 6,325
- Super Express delivery within 2 Working days: TK 8,625
e-Passport with 48 pages and 10 years validity
- Regular delivery within 15 Working days / 21 days: TK 5,750
- Express delivery within 7 Working days / 10 days: TK 8,050
- Super Express delivery within 2 Working days: TK 10,350
e-Passport with 64 pages and 5 years validity
- Regular delivery within 15 Working days / 21 days: TK 6,325
- Express delivery within 7 Working days / 10 days: TK 8,625
- Super Express delivery within 2 Working days: TK 12,075
e-Passport with 64 pages and 10 years validity
- Regular delivery within 15 Working days / 21 days: functional
- Express delivery within 7 Working days / 10 days: TK 10,350
- Super Express delivery within 2 Working days: TK 13,800
NB : All fees are Including 15%VAT and those who have NOC/Retired doc (Govt employees) will get Express facility with submitting regular fee.
Step 4: Visit your Passport Office for biometric enrolment
Make sure you have all required documents with you when you visit the passport office.
List of documents that you need to submit with the application
- Printed Application Summary incl. appointment
- Photocopy of Identification documents (National ID card or Birth Certificate)
- Payment Slip
- Previous Passport (if available)
- Photocopy of Marriage Certificate (If applicable)
- Original GD(If you lost your passport)
Step 5: Collect your e-Passport at the passport office
- Delivery slip you received during passport enrolment
- Authorized representatives can collect the applicant’s new passport.
